School uniform
Gorseland Primary School has a clear uniform policy and all children are required to adhere to it.
We aim to make it as smart and comfortable as possible, whilst keeping it affordable for parents and carers.
All plain items of our uniform are available at most supermarkets and clothing stores. If you wish to have an embroidered top then this can be purchased from PMG Schoolwear here.
Clothing
Pale blue or white Polo shirt
Grey or black skirt or pinafore dress
Long grey or black school trousers
Grey or black shorts
Blue and white checked Summer dress
School sweatshirt, cardigan or fleece; alternatively a plain navy jumper or cardigan
Plain white, grey or black socks or tights
Footwear
Black school shoes with flat soles
On wet or snowy days, children may bring in wellington boots in addition to their normal school shoes
P.E. Kit
Plain white P.E. T-shirt (navy P.E. top available for Reception children)
Plain black or navy shorts
Tracksuits may be worn outside in the winter months (plain colours and style preferred)
Trainers or plimsolls
PE kits should be kept in a named, drawstring bag in school for Reception, SSU Grasshoppers and SSU Ladybirds. PE kits will be worn to school on PE days for the other classes at Gorseland.
Forest Schools (for Nursery/Reception/SSU)
The following items should be kept in a named, drawstring bag:
Long sleeved and long legged clothing
Waterproof jacket and trousers or all in one
Wellington boots
Swimming Kit
Currently, children in Year 5 and some SSU classes will need a separate swimming kit that includes a one piece swimming costume or trunks, a swimming hat and a towel.
Items of school uniform with the Gorseland logo are available to purchase from PMG Schoolwear in Ipswich or online through their website.
Nearly New Uniform
From time to time, we have nearly new uniform that parents have donated to the school which is available to parents and carers.
Clothing with the school logo costs £1 per item and other items are free of charge with a maximum of 3 of each item.
Please ensure that all items of uniform, outer clothing and other items brought into school (bags, book bottles, etc) are clearly labelled with your child’s name.
