Wrap Around Childcare
Breakfast Club is open from 7.30am daily and operates from our main school hall. Children of all ages attending Gorseland Primary School are welcome to attend. Children should be dropped off at the main school office where a member of staff will greet you, sign your child in and take any messages that may need to be passed on to the class teacher.
Children sit down to a varied breakfast of cereals, toast, bagels, crumpets, yogurt, fresh fruit and a daily hot special. Breakfast is a social occasion and children are encouraged to independently make their selection.
A large variety of activities are on offer to occupy children following breakfast such as art and craft, reading corner, group games, table tennis, music and dance.
At the end of the session key stage one children are handed over to their class teacher and key stage two children make their own way to their classroom.
Breakfast club offers children a calm, fun start to their day in a relaxed, friendly environment.
Breakfast club fees are £5.00 per session.
After School Club
After School Club is based in our school Nursery. It is a self contained unit with its own toilets, kitchen area and outdoor play space. Key stage one children are dropped off at After School Club and Key Stage two children make their own way there. A member of staff greets children and signs them in on arrival.
Children sit down to a varied, healthy snack and drink and are then free to make their own play choices. Group games outdoors are encouraged, particularly for those children that will not have had a mid afternoon break during the school day. We fully appreciate that for some children a long day at school can be very tiring and there are plenty of opportunities to sit and relax with a book, some drawing, listening to music or just a chat with friends.
