People Who Help Us

We had a fantastic time learning about the job of a firefighter. We want to say a huge 'Thank you' to Denise from the Suffolk Fire Service who came and spoke to the children about the role of a firefighter, their clothing and how to be safe. The children asked lots of questions and loved touching the kit! Miss Johnson was our uniform model!
Having a visit from a fire fighter inspired children to get in character and rescue animals in our nursery garden and to put out fires they could see. We used helmets and hi vis clothing to support our roleplay. Children also used the bikes as their fire engines. We learnt about 2D shapes and which shapes we might need to make a fire engine picture.

We are excited to announce that our new Nursery, The Hedgehogs, will be launching a new session schedule on Monday 11th April 2016. The Nursery will now provide childcare from 07:30 to 18:00, including lunch and breakfast provision.

If that wasn't enough already, our Nursery is Qualified Teacher Led, meaning activities and play will be curriculum led and assessed using our online EYFS assessment tool 'Tapestry'.
