posted 7 Nov 2017, 23:55 by Laura Mathews

On Monday, The Naughty Bus came to school. We explored the school and thought about what the bus might do while he was here. We then planned out our own story and we are going to write it up this week.

Firework art

posted 7 Nov 2017, 23:50 by Laura Mathews

On Friday, we experimented with different mediums and tools to create an exciting effect. First, we covered a piece of paper in crayon using lots of different colours. We then painted the whole piece of paper black and left it to dry. Later, we used different tools to scrape away the paint to reveal the pretty colours. We created firework shapes and they looked amazing!

We enjoyed a music session today with Mrs Smith (Arthur's Mum).
We learnt a super song called 'Rabbits in the Rain' and we started to look at recording our music making.

This half term we have been growing our own beans. Some grew very quickly and some needed more time. We discussed what plants needed to grow well and used this knowledge to look after our beans.

Singing with Mrs Smith

posted 12 Jul 2017, 07:20 by Emily Vale

We were very lucky this week to have a special visit from Arthurs mummy Mrs Smith. Mrs Smith lead a fantastic music session were we warmed up our voices with a special song. We then learnt about beats in music and used symbols to follow a rhythmic pattern. We even learnt a tongue twister song called the cookie cooker which made us very hungry for a treat! Then we showed Mrs Smith some of the songs we like to sing. Thank you for visiting!
