Musical Decimals

This term, we have explored place value. Once we were feeling more confident with the place value of a whole number we then went on to look at decimal numbers. To help us understand the place value of a decimal number and our listening skills we went outside and played decimal numbers on chime bars! We had to listen to our partners play a number and work out how many units, tenths and hundredths the decimal number had. We had lots of fun doing this and it really helped us to understand the place value. We then went onto place value grids and exploring problem solving.
