Flying into the past of Martlesham 100

posted 20 Jan 2017, 07:23 by Hannah Clark
Over that last couple of weeks we have been learning about the last 100 years of Martlesham. We have been looking at the importance of Martlesham and the role it had in the war. Isla was very kind and brought in her grandfathers pilot hat which we could look at and the badges he collected. We were able to identify some of these badges and therefore the role her Grandfather played in the war. As part of our Martlesham 100 project we have been researching the history of the control tower, and some of the planes that took off there. We have also made factfiles to display our research about the planes.
