Exploring Insulators!

Our topic this term has been Pole to Pole, where we have been looking at Antarctica and the Arctic. As these places are very cold, we wanted to explore insulators which would help us to keep warm in the Polar regions. Our experiment was based on a jacket potato and how we would keep it hot when it came out of the oven. We looked at a wide range of materials and predicted which one we thought would be the best for the job. We wrapped our hot jacket potato in our chosen material and using a thermometer and a timer recorded the temperature change.
