The Control Tower

The Control Tower is an historical building just outside our school. We went to visit to find out what it was used for and why it's there. There were lots of people who help to preserve the building, on hand to answer our questions. They took us into the air-raid shelter where we found out what it would have been like to experience an attack from the air. It was dark, very noisy and uncomfortable. We sang a song to cheer ourselves up.
