ICT: coding our Crumble bots at BT

Monday was an awesome day! BT invited Gorseland and another school in for a day of coding.
The hall was set up with tables and laptops ready to go. Once we had been given our badges and groups, the aims of the day were shared: to tinker and persevere! The crumblebots had sensors, lights and engines that could be controlled.
Slowly, we built up our coding skills to expert level when our final (and most challenging) task was given: to create a code that would enable our crumble to sense where the black line was and stay near it. Fortunately BT volunteers were on hand when we needed some extra thinking help. The grande finale was a race off around a longer track, where crumbles bumped each other off as they fought for their place in the final.
