Geography: our world balloon challenge!

posted 22 Sep 2016, 12:56 by Jenni Stanley   [ updated 22 Sep 2016, 13:29 ]
Our challenge was to recreate the world on a balloon: with the help of an atlas, we named the continents and oceans.
We realised that the Pacific was the largest ocean and Asia the largest continent.

We also were given artefacts from around the world and had to decide which continent they belonged to.
There were all kinds: money (notes and coins), fabrics, a peg, masks, chop sticks, jewellery and sharks teeth.
This is a huipil; the traditional women's top from the village of Chichicastenango in the Highlands of Guatemala.
