Investigating Cube Numbers

In Maths, we  learned that a cube number is the result of multiplying a number by itself and itself again. The result gives us a cube as shown below.

Some of us went on to investigate the number of cubes within a cube, starting with the largest possible. For example A cube of size 3x3x3 can be used to construct three cubes 2x2x2 and 3 cubes 1x1x1. A cube 4x4x4 can be used to construct 2 cubes 3x3x3, 1 cube 2x2x2 and 2 cubes 1x1x1.
