For the past two weeks in Maths, 6A and 6B have been learning all about 2D polygons and their properties. We investigated by folding the polygons out of paper and exploring lines of symmetry, rotational symmetry and internal / external angles to see if they would tesselate. After some more furious paper folding and a lot of fun and learning, our masterpieces are complete! The children worked in groups to create a colourful tessellation of their own, making sure they showed reflectional and rotational symmetry. They look stunning up on display! Well done Year 6 :)
